Everything you need to tackle the most difficult Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist challenges.
Forza Horizon 5 is a critically acclaimed open-world racing game, and developer Playground Games and publisher Xbox Game Studios are committed to perpetually adding fresh content to the game through the Festival Playlist. Every week, the playlist introduces players to new events, challenges to complete, and rewards to earn. Occasionally, however, challenges can ramp up the difficulty or be unclear in their descriptions and instructions.
From tricky Daily Challenges to enigmatic Treasure Hunts, this is everything you need to know to complete those Forza Horizon 5 challenges and obtain every exclusive reward in one of the best racing games on Xbox.
How can I complete the Festival Playlist challenges in Forza Horizon 5?
The Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist features a rotating selection of possible challenges and events, most of which are fairly straightforward. However, every so often FH5's Festival Playlist will present players with a particularly difficult challenge, either through design, confusing or unclear instructions, or even in-game bugs that prevent the challenge from being completed like normal.
Spring, Series 6 — "Fine Tuned" Treasure Hunt Challenge
The last Season of Forza Horizon 5 Series 6 continues to follow the theme of "Horizon Customs," and the final Treasure Hunt included within does the same. The objective this time around is to show off both your tuning and your racing skills, revealing the final Treasure Chest location near the Horizon Apex Festival Site. Here's what you need to know.
- Clue: Don't try to sprint before you found your tunes, it's hard to win.
- Reward: 3 Playlist Points and 100 Forzathon Points
For this Treasure Hunt, you can basically use any car you want! What's important is that the car has a custom tune applied, and that you're confident you can win a Road Race Event in it. I chose the 2012 Lotus Exige S, for example, but any car and any PI Class will suffice. Once you've chosen your car, ensure you have a custom tune applied to it! Be it your own or a community-created solution, you can't complete this Treasure Hunt with a stock car.
Custom tunes already applied to your chosen car do count, so you don't need to rush to upgrade and tune a new car if you already have a suitable option in your Garage. If you do plan to use a new car, upgrading your car is recommended before you attempt to tune your car.
Once you have an upgraded and tuned car in which you're confident you can win a race, find any Road Racing Sprint Event on the Forza Horizon 5 map. It does have to be a Sprint race — that means no Circuit races. All Spring races have the word "Sprint" in their name, and are characterized by being comprised of one long stretch of road (rather than laps around a closed circuit).
Any Road Racing Sprint Event is acceptable. Once you've chosen it, do your best to win in your chosen car. You can also use any difficulty settings or options, so this Treasure Hunt can be completed by players of all skill levels. You do have to win the race to progress the "Fine Tuned" Treasure Hunt Challenge, so keep this in mind when starting the race.
Once you've won the Road Racing Sprint Event in your custom-tuned car, the location of the "Fine Tuned" Treasure Chest will be revealed! It appears near the Horizon Apex Festival Site in the lower right-hand corner of the map. You can refer to the images above to pinpoint its exact location. I found the Treasure Chest underneath an overpass just north of the Horizon Apex Festival Site.
Once you smash the Treasure Chest, you'll have completed the "Fine Tuned" Treasure Hunt and will be rewarded with 3 Playlist Points and 100 Forzathon Points to spend in the Forzathon Shop.
